Follow-Up of the Day: Seattle Superhero Showdown Isn’t Over: Rex Velvet — “The People’s Villain” — threw down the gauntlet via video last week in an effort to rid the Rain City of reigning superhero Phoenix Jones. But with nary a peep from Jones in response, Velvet’s “New Seattle” looks a lot like the old Seattle — which means the supervillain has surfaced with a second video challenge to his nemesis:

You think I’m joking. Well, allow me to spell it out for you. The time has come to put away your childish fantasies of comic book justice. You’ve lured me out, Jones. Soon the day will come when the public majority will exile you. So make it easy on yourself, and let’s have a chat. Your move, you silly nerd.

For his part, Jones’ public statements have been limited to defending his vigilantism during downtown Seattle’s May Day violence.
